Mother of Two (for a week)

Ok lets talk about CRAZY!!! I inherited my sisters two year old little boy for the week and let me tell you I have learned a lot about myself, 1. Im so not ready for 2 kids; 2. I used to think I was a pacient person; 3. I am so not ever going to win Mom of the year. It has been so fun to have Ashton with us here but at the same time I can totally understand why my sis went on a cruise to have a break. Two year olds are HARD!!! They are so busy and I know all of you are thinking DUH because you deal with your kids, I guess I just was niaeve to it. anyway I think if Cecily were a little older and able to defend herself or at least run away then it wouldnt be so bad but, I have seriously worn out the phrases "please leave her alone", "lets jump on the couch CC is not laying on" and "please be a good listener". There are times that I just want to scream and (maybe I even do) ha ha... but then I calm myslef down and remember he is onle two and he is a precous child of God and he is only trying to help or love or play and he doesnt do it just to aggravate me (well most of the time). I Def. think that Heavenly Father made kids so dang cute or else we would want to as my friend laura says "throw them in the trash"! It has been a blessing to have this special visitor to teach me that I need to work on my pacience before Cecily is two and before we have another baby join our family! So thanks to my sis for going on the cruise and her dear husband for having crazy work hours so that I could take the opportunity to be a mother of two for a thankfully very short time!

Cecily is Four Months!!

TIme has flown by so fast since the day we had our sweet little girl! It has been so fun and such a blessing to have her in our life! She is so cute with all of her jabbering and her super cute giggles! The love that I feel for her is so amazing and it grows more and more everyday. I am so blessed for the opportunity to raise one of God's Children and I am so grateful for the trust he has in me. I hope to be privileged with more children in the future but for now I just love my CC girl! Her four month stats are 11 1/2 lbs 13th Percentile 24 1/2 inches 61st percentile and I forget her head measurement but it was the 15th percentile! I'm glad she is growing slow so that she has time to wear all of her cute tiny clothes!

Gingerbread house~

Ashton and I made a gingerbread house at my sister's while we were in utah. I did most of the decorating while Ash ate the nasty candy! I cant wait until next year when Cecily is older so she and I can do one together! I stole the pic from my sister's blog so dont ask how I did it because I have no clue! Thanks Sar

Decorating for Christmas or lack of~ I decided since we are going to California for Christmas and will be gone for most of december that I am not even going to waste any energy on decorating for the Holiday. I did my fair share doing stuff for fall but I just dont think it is worth it, besides I get depressed when I look at the Christmas decor I have from last year and all I want to do is go buy all new stuff so I figure to spear the already empty wallet I will just skip out on decorating this year, besides a few cute things my mom bought me from Tai Pan and a super cute quilted table runner. I feel so lame...please tell me its ok!

Time in utah

A few of some very close friends that I grew up with. This was as Jen's wedding
CC and Ash in their Christmas PJ's
Cecily in one of her Christmas dresses posing on the couch
CC is getting so big she can sit up almost all by herself
Me and the girls I used to Nanny. they are so grown up! Cecily is names after the little girl in all pink.
Cecily and I have been in utah for over a week now and are having a lot of fun even though we desperatley missed Kreg! He is here with us now and its so nice to have him close and have extra helping hands. We have been busy with weddings and shopping (well more like browsing), crafting, visiting old friends and hanging out with family! Two of my very good friends were married so it was a lot of fun to go to their receptions, We we able to see the little girls that I used to nanny and have lots of fun seeing cousin Ashton! The guys are going fishing and the girls shopping which should be tons of fun too!

Gram comes for a visit!

My Mom aka Gram came up this weekend to visit us but especially Cecily, We had a lot of fun going to the craft fair and to the craft store many times! We found these really cute paper flower kits and so we spent one night making lots of them! As I said before Cecily loves her lady bugs on her wall so I decided to put the flowers up with the lady bugs. Not that she needs one more decoration on her wall because her room is full as it is but I couldn't resist and I thought it was a really cute idea! I made a vine out of ribbon to string the flowers and bugs on. I am not very artsy but I'm having fun learning and trying to be crafty!

Halloween day

In the morning Cecily and I went with our neighbor and her kids to story time at the library, Then we went to a special olympics party that afternoon, I didn't take any pictures there because Cecily was a little fussy do to being a bit overwhelmed by all of the people and noise. We didn't do anything else that was fun. Kreg went to the school to work on a project and Cecily and I went to bed early. Lame I know. It will be more fun next year when Cecily is a little older and a little more interactive!

Michelle's b-day party!

Cecily loved the comfy couch!

We went to Michael and Michelle's to celebrate Michelle's b-day! we had to keep Lucy (the dog) away from Cecily she was so intrigued with such a tiny person! Kreg and Michael were roommates their freshman year before their missions and Michelle and I were roommates while they were gone! Its fun to have couple friends that we both love to hang out with!

Halloween Carnival

We went to a halloween party at the church tonight and Cecily was dressed as a flapper girl! She was so cute. Kreg was a little dissapointed that she wasnt going to be an animal of some sort. He asked why she wasnt going to be a Squirell or something ha ha. I told him it was because she is to tiny for all the costumes. Her little dress is actually made for a dog like a poodle or some other small dog! It totally worked for her though. Im just glad she is too little to fight me about wearing the doggy dress. Cecily is holding her bowl ready to get in line for trunk or treating. She is already like her daddy, ready for candy!! Next week on halloween we will be going to a party with the special olypics kids we work with and then a carnival at the college! I will post more pics later.

(Sorry the pic is sideways I couldnt figure out how to make it flip in the posting)

falling apart!!!

Ok its been a little over two months since baby Cecily was born and every thing has been great. I absolutely loved being pregnant and never had any sickness or problems and even though I had to have an emergency C-section I loved my labor and delivery and I recovered from the surgery super fast. Anyway so everything has been fine until this past week, I seriously feel like my body is falling apart. Aside from the gross after baby jelly belly and the wonderful stretch marks that remind me of my beautiful little girl (those things I can deal with because they come with the mommy territory) the rest of me is now going to pits, I have two ingrown two nails, one on each foot. I have no idea where they came from all of a sudden one day my toes feel like they are going to fall off! I can barely walk and I am stuck wearing flip flops in the snow!! I feel like everyday something new is hurting that has no relevance with having a child. I know I sound like a hypo but does any one else feel this way? Like your body will never be whole again? Oh the joys of child birth! At least it is all worth it when I get to hold Cecily in my arms and kiss her over and over!!!

Kreg and I on our big day!

Cecily's blessing

We blessed Cecily in Utah at my parents house during conference. Kreg gave her a very nice blessing and it was a lot of fun to see all of our families. Both sets of Kreg's grandparents came too!

Life as a Mommy

I am love love loving being a Mom! It is alot of work but so rewarding! I am so blessed to have two jobs that I can do and still be with Cecily. I work with an autistic girl and also do hair from home. I love being with Cecily all day and learning new things about her all of the time. I am not looking forward to the winter but since I will be forced to stay inside I am looking forward to scrap booking and having time for other hobbies!

Cecily Marie*

Cecily is a such a fun baby! She is getting bigger each day and changing so much! She has been very alert from the day she came home from the hospital and is smiling and cooing so much now! Kreg and I wake up in the early morning to her talking in her room it is hilarious! She has been sleeping through the night since she was three weeks old which is so nice for me because I need lots of sleep to function. Everyday she does new things and it makes it so fun for me to watch her learn and grow!

Busy, Busy Kreg

Kreg is working so hard at school, he is getting really good grades and is getting his law school applications ready to send. The anticipation of where we will end up is very exciting and also nerve racking at the same time! I of course am super excited about a change in atmosphere and cant wait to move away from Idaho to hopefully somewhere a little warmer! He is also the director over the golf program at the college and works with a downs boy during the day. He loves being a daddy and has lots of fun teasing Cecily already!

This is the cake I made for Kreg's 23rd b-day!!
