Pirate Party

The Gypsies
 The Pirates
These two 3 year olds are a crack up!!
 The Pirate Pinata
Ashton was a hard core captain of the ship. While the kids were eating dinner he was giving them each jobs, like Reagan was the fire girl. She was responsible for getting wood and keeping fire. Cecily was the food supplier, she needed to get food and cook. Oli and Hud were the Deck boys, in charge of sweeping the deck! Ash is such a smarty, and so clever!
Colten and Bentley loved the Pirate story Gram brought! Colten looked like a little man, he kept dwindling his mustache!

Seriously these two boys are so fun to watch! There are always joking around or wrestling or hugging. I love that they are only a week apart in age and that they can be such good friends!
The pinata was a hit! The kids loved it!

Hudson loved the spider man hat we got him!
Scott was the oldest of the birthday boys but really he acts just like one of the little boys! We joked that he must have a million pictures of himself holding up reeses pieces candy, since its what everyone always gets him as a gift!
It wouldn't be a party without a delicious chocolate cake from costco with a little pirate accessory

We had a fun Pirate party for all 4 of the may boy birthdays! Scott-4th, Hudson-7th, Colten and Oliver-14th. I think its funny that its these may boys that are always the life of the party! Oliver loved his party, he's a little confused when we keep telling him his birthday is next week since he already had a party, I just keep reminding him to live it up!!

It's the little things

Snack time together, CC is loving the peace sign lately. I love that CC and Oli are still so obsessed with Cora, I don't think the novelty of their baby sister will ever wear off. Its cute but sometimes I want to be able to put Cora down with out them flocking right to her! She sure loves them and loves watching them!
These kids are histarical! I taught them all the hand signs the other day ie I love you, hang loose, rock on, o.k.... well apparently Oliver got them mixed up with some kind of gang sign. This picture makes their kiddie pool look so tiny, its a good thing Oliver got a slip n slide for his birthday!
We have been having some nice warm weather. You can find us outside all day everyday when the weather is nice! I got a fire pit for Mother's day so you will be seeing lots of pictures of that!
I love that Cora has been able to go without a sweater on some days. She loves being outside just like the rest of us! We have had thunder storms the last couple of days which make me miss Minnesota so badly! We used to love opening the sliding glass door onto our deck and laying on a blanket in the family room while we watched/listened to the summer storm. Utah's storms don't compete but we still love them!
I feel so blessed to be the mother of these 3 sillies! They teach me so much everyday and make me so happy. My life is so full with them in it and I am so thankful I get to stay home and play, teach, and take care of these sweet spirits! I get so busy sometimes with a whole lot of things, but mostly things that don't really matter. Its good for me to slow down and just enjoy my littles and remember that they are the most important things!

Cora is 3 months

Cora is 3 months old! Time has flown, but at the same time when I think back to when she was born it feels like forever ago! We did her 3 month photo shoot and for some reason she was not into it. She wouldn't smile for anything or anyone! She is so smiley these days so I was laughing at the fact that she was being so stubborn about not giving us a smile. I thought about trying again later but I really just want to document how she is in this moment.

She seems to be thinking "this is lame, are you done yet mom?"
"Ok I'm over this, and take off this sticker!"
 She loves her hands lately
 and sticking out her tongue!

We thought maybe if we got her dressed and let her sit with CC she would smile, but nope!!
Cora at 3 months:
Weighs 10 lbs 1 oz (at home scale so it may not be super accurate)
Height 22 1/2 in
Sleeps 8-9 hours at night
Takes 2-3 long naps and lots of little cat naps
Eats 3-4 ounces every 3 or so hours during the day
Loves the front pack carrier
Loves being held and having lots of attention
Still loves music/noise and likes it loud
likes laying on the play mat/ bouncer and looking at toys
Smiles anytime you talk to her
Cooing lots
Giggling, every time she laughs she gets the hiccups so I always feel bad making her laugh
Still likes to be swaddled but we don't do it very often anymore
Likes her binky when she can keep it in her mouth (I'm hoping she'll just get over it soon)
She has had cradle cap this past month, its not to bad and you really can't see it unless you are parting through her hair. I think she has it because of all her hair. The other two kids were pretty much bald so they didn't deal with it.

She is such a good/easy happy baby. There isn't really anything she doesn't like. We are so blessed to have our sweet, happy Cora in our family!

Cold Egg

Oliver loves hard boiled eggs, he calls them cold eggs since you eat them cold. SO I made some the other day but told him they wouldn't be ready till after quiet time. So as soon as quiet time was over he asked for one. I told him he could have one and they were in the fridge. I was upstairs feeding Cora when Oli started yelling "Mom, that wasn't a cold egg!" I ran down stairs to find this! I was laughing so hard! He didn't think it was funny till I told him it was not a big deal and we could clean it up! I reminded him that the cold eggs are always in a bowl and not in the egg carton with the raw eggs. OOps!

Fun times in April

Bentley turned 1 and had a fun Mustache party! Cecily drew a stache on her and Oliver, then Carly had fun furry sticker mustaches at the party they could wear.
Reagan wasn't excited about wearing it.
 Cora Rocked her Mustache!

The kids had fun chasing and attempting to tackle Papa
Then he turned and chased them!
 Bentley the Guest of Honor!

Oliver sure loves his baby sister! He is always loving (mauling) on her! He always says goochy goochy goo to her and calls her Cory Cory

Cecily was so excited when she and Cora accidently Matched one day so she said we just had to have a photo shoot!
Cecily said in the car the other day, "Mom Cora has been smiling so much lately! I think she is for sure the smartest girl in our family!" "I could never smile that much in one day!" She said. I told her "she smiles more than that all the time, since she is such a happy girl!"
