"painting" Eggs

Cecily really wanted to paint, but I wanted her to do her eggs so I told her we would "paint" the eggs. She Loved it of course. But after they were all dyed she kept asking when we were going to paint? There is no tricking this girl. I let her color the eggs with markers after her nap and that seemed to suffice, then she wanted to eat one so we cracked it open, she took one bite and was done with the eggs for good!The beloved shoes the "Rabbit" brought her.

Cecily says

This morning she brought me her new Hightop Converse the "easter Bunny" brought her. The convo went like this:
CC- "Here are my new pink shoes the Rabbit gave me"
Me- (Putting them on her feet) "oh no it looks like the Easter bunny got the wrong size they are too big"
CC-"no Mom he did Great! They are Perfect!" (while admiring the new shoes on her feet)

We left a suitcase in Utah on accident so my Mom sent a few things out of it when CC saw two of her dresses she grabbed them and hugged them and said "I thought I lost you!" She didnt even know they were gone. She is soo silly, I just love listening to her all day she comes up with such wild things, I know as she gets older it will only become more Funny!

Easter

This is so typical when Kreg is home, she becomes is shadow!

Searching for the easter bunny

We have had a great Easter weekend full of Conference and relaxing. When CC woke up this morning Kreg told her to fine her basket the easter bunny left for her, she was a little nervous about it and was acting real timid, she finally said I dont want to find the easter bunny. ha She was so excited about her basket especially the punching balloons. She quickly informed me that she didnt get any candy in her basket. She was happy later when she went on her egg hunt to find lots of eggs with candy and little inked stamps inside. We took a walk to the park and she and Kreg practiced hitting golf balls. we just couldnt pass up the 66 degree sunny weather!

CC and I plan to dye eggs tomorrow morning, its fun to stretch out a holiday as long as we want! SO plan on pictures of that. Im going to try hard to get in a good habit of taking and posting more pictures so that grandparents can be more up to date on CC and Oli when he gets here, so dont be suprised if there are posts about everyother day

Utah

We were lucky enough to take a quick trip to Utah for a Mark and Mallory's wedding. I didnt get many pictures of their big day or of that whole weekend, too busy having fun to stop and take pictures I guess. Then we got to go to Ogden and spend time with my family, once again not many pictures were taken but ofcourse tons of fun ws had!

The week included:

-A wedding dinner that was perfect aside from my child running in the middle of speeches.

-Swimming in the hotel pool (CC ofcourse had to do it all by herself, thank goodness she will be doing swim lessons this summer)

-A beautiful Temple Sealing and Fabulous Reception to follow- CC loved the balloon room and the dancing and especially Mallory's two cute Nephews that we quite unamused by the 2 yr old little girl chasing them around all day, but who were nice enough to humor her.

-Church in a singles ward brought us back to our BYUI days and made me so thankful to be out of that stage in life.

- Family dinner/parties in Ogden

-pedicures with the "Reid" girls

-shopping

-Sewing

-Late night movie watching

-Eating out

-Great conversations

-Golfing

-a date with Kreg

-new haircuts

-Playing wild with cousins

-Going to the Movies with Gram

We really LOVE spending time with all of our family and feel so blessed to be able to as often as we do! Thank you to all of you for generously spoiling us like always! We miss you lots already! Cant wait to see you all again this summer!

Pregnancy woes

I have about 2 months left. My first thoughts are really already? and really I STILL have two more long monthsof this. This pregnancy has been night and day different from Cecily's I have been sick with this one, I feel pain in my back, hips, legs, feet, torso, boobs, ect... Ok so basically I just hurt. I cant sleep this time around, I feel really uncomfortable already. I feel soooo out of control with my body, with CC I wasnt as concerned about weight gain, I just kind of did whatever ate whatever, but this time I had so many goals and guidelines I was to follow. While being sick prohibitted a lot of those goals in the first 20 weeks. I have done pretty well outside of that. Im not gonna lie and say I havent had my fair share and Olivers of Oreos, but Ive exercised and done pretty well eating healthly. Well needless to say Im still gaining weight like crazy. its like the more I try to be healthy the more pounds I pack on. what the? I know I know its normal and what my body needs to do for the baby but still sooo frustrating! All as I can say is I cant wait to have an empty stomach, full arms, and a good ole weight loss regime back in my life.

Even though this pregnancy has been harder than the lasts, I have still enjoyed feeling Oliver kick and wiggle (just not in the middle of the night) and I feel very bonded to him already. So excited to meet him and kiss his little cheeks!

CC says

She loves seeing my belly and talking to Oliver, we were getting in the shower and

she said "oh baby Oliver has an owie" (pointing to the beautiful stretch marks I earned while pregnant with her. I told her "no those are Mom's owies Oliver is safe in side.")

She said"he's toasty warm in there!"

We painted our nails and she was looking at mine she said "your polish is beautiful, and its darker, mine is light"
I said " you are right, good job"
She said "good obsermation (observation)"
I say that to her alot, not thinking she knew what it meant but apparently she does!!

Getting married

This morning while in the tub she put the shower curtain on her head and said "look Mom Im getting married" then showed me her pretend ring on her finger. Dont know where this obsession with getting married comes from.

Silly Girl

Preggo belly pic. 28 weeks. As you can see Baby Oliver is growing big and in turn so is his Momma!

After washing the dishes/playing in the sink and getting her shirt wet, I told her to go get jammies on and she came back with her swimming suit. Sorry CC its a little toooo cold for swimming.

Picture above: it was around 5:00pm she fell asleep on Kreg's lap watching music videos on the computer. he laid her down and right when i snapped a pic she woke up. Thats what happens when you get up at 6:30 am and dont take a nap.

We are SOOO over winter and ready for spring and summer (as its a major blizzard outside). Here is my little piece of sunshine for you all to enjoy!

Prayer

I strongly believe in the POWER of Prayer and Faith. I know that all things happen for a reason and for the most part things that happen are not up to us but a lot of times we are given trials as a test of our faith. With that said and without going into detail Kreg's DAD needs all the Prayers and All the faith you have to give. So please pray for this awesome Husband, Dad, Father in-law and Grandpa!!

Feeding baby

The other night I went through all the baby stuff and got out what I needed for Oliver, Cecily had fun playing with the Nursing Pillow and the bottles. She has had her moments of acting like a baby like when she climbed in the baby bath and started making cooing sounds. I asked her what she was doing and she said "being a baby". So silly.

Love Birds

A Congrats in Order for these two! My Dad's parents are getting Re-married after being divorced for 33 + years, and this time they are being married in the temple and having their 4 grown children sealed to them!!!

While no one but their children has ever known them "together" we are very excited and for me personally it doesnt seem strange but, almost natural. Special gratitude to our late Grandma Barb for helping Grandpa make this possible and for encouraging an eternal family for all of us!


Congrats Grandma and Grandpa! So excited to have the originals back together again!
