Cold Egg

Oliver loves hard boiled eggs, he calls them cold eggs since you eat them cold. SO I made some the other day but told him they wouldn't be ready till after quiet time. So as soon as quiet time was over he asked for one. I told him he could have one and they were in the fridge. I was upstairs feeding Cora when Oli started yelling "Mom, that wasn't a cold egg!" I ran down stairs to find this! I was laughing so hard! He didn't think it was funny till I told him it was not a big deal and we could clean it up! I reminded him that the cold eggs are always in a bowl and not in the egg carton with the raw eggs. OOps!

Fun times in April

Bentley turned 1 and had a fun Mustache party! Cecily drew a stache on her and Oliver, then Carly had fun furry sticker mustaches at the party they could wear.
Reagan wasn't excited about wearing it.
 Cora Rocked her Mustache!

The kids had fun chasing and attempting to tackle Papa
Then he turned and chased them!
 Bentley the Guest of Honor!

Oliver sure loves his baby sister! He is always loving (mauling) on her! He always says goochy goochy goo to her and calls her Cory Cory

Cecily was so excited when she and Cora accidently Matched one day so she said we just had to have a photo shoot!
Cecily said in the car the other day, "Mom Cora has been smiling so much lately! I think she is for sure the smartest girl in our family!" "I could never smile that much in one day!" She said. I told her "she smiles more than that all the time, since she is such a happy girl!"

Cecily's Kindergarten program

Cecily had a kindergarten program where the morning and afternoon classes got together and sang 15 or so nursery rhyme songs and then each child had their own rhyme to recite at the microphone. It was all very impressive, they sang, danced, and even played some musical instruments. So proud of our cute Kitty Cat Kindergartener!
Each kid dressed up and/or brought props to go along with their rhyme. Cecily was a darling Pussy Cat!
This is Cecily's poster she made to represent her Rhyme.
 "Pussy Cat and the Queen"
Pussy cat, Pussy cat, where have you been
I've been to london to look at the Queen.
Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat, what did you there?
I frightened a little mouse under the chair.

While the kids were getting in their spots and getting ready Cecily just kept posing for all the cameras!
Dancing to around the mulberry bush

Cecily and her good friend Avea, Cat and Dog!
Oliver and Anton (avea's little brother) are best buddies! They love to do everything together! Oliver loved watching the program and even sang along. at the end of the program Hot Crossed Buns were served.

Cora Kathleen is 2 months!

Cora has started smiling at us! We love when she will be generous enough to give us one of her open mouth smiles!
Love her big beautiful blue eyes!
I love those chubby little legs and cheeks!

Cora at 2 months:
~Weight: 9 Lbs 4 oz
~Height: 21 in
~Wearing mostly 0-3 month clothes, But still wearing newborn Pants. Just moved to size 1 diapers this week.
~Eats 4 ounces every 3-4 hours during the day

~Sleeps 6-8 hours at night, She has been sleeping 6 hours pretty much since birth, and in the last few days she's done close to 8 hours! I am one lucky mama! Cora's great sleeping is such a blessing to our family. Kreg was the one to get up with the other two kids at night, but since this time around he has a full time job I have been the one to get up with her during the work week (Kreg takes his turns on the weekend) I do not do well on little sleep, I don't function well, I get sick easily and I am super grumpy when I don't get enough sleep. Since she is such a great sleeper I have been doing great and I can still be a happy, full functioning Mom during the day.

~ Naps are pretty unpredictable, most days she doesn't sleep. She will take a 10 min cat nap here or there but will be awake from 8 am till 9:30-10 pm. Once a week or so she will have a day where she will sleep most of the day, like she needs to catch up on sleep from all her days of no sleeping. The other kids were the exact same as was Kreg as a baby so I don't worry. I honestly don't care about day time sleeping if I can get sleep at night. The days she is up all day she is happiest when we are our and about or if she is in the front pack carrier, which is just like the other kids too so I'm used to it and fine with it since we love to be out and about!

~Smiling for the last 2 weeks. She is stingy with her smiles still but they are becoming more frequent.
~Cooing. When there is a smile along comes the cooing. I love when I am holding her but not looking at her and she will just start smiling and cooing like saying "Look at me Mom!"
~Loves music! She loves it loud too! I think because I had music on pretty much the entire pregnancy she really loves her music, but its specific. She is just like her mama and likes music with a good beat that we can really dance too!
~She likes the Car if there is music on loud!
~Likes to be swaddled but isn't as attached to it as Oliver was.
~Doesn't love the swing or bouncer but will tolerate it long enough for me to shower and get ready in the mornings.
~Her dark hair is lightening up a lot. She hasn't lost any of it. It will be fun to see what it looks like when she turns one. The other kids were pretty much bald on their 1st birthdays!
~Loves baths! 3 or so weeks ago she started enjoying the bath and even doesn't mind getting lotion now.
~Nicknames: Coco, Kreg sings a song "Cora I adore ya", Oliver says when talking to her "Cory Cory Cory" Cora girl, love bug, baby girl

Cora is such a good, happy, mellow baby. really only gets upset when she's hungry and I am taking to long making a bottle. She is so sweet and cuddly. It will be so fun to watch her personality blossom in the next few months. We love our Cora girl and are so happy she is in our family!
